I don’t think there are too many of us these days that can’t use a little more luck in our lives.
Sometimes, just having a symbol, can remind us of how much good is inside us, make us push harder or believe in ourselves a little stronger .
Elephants are considered a symbol of good luck for many reasons.
For good feng shui , always have the elephants with the trunk up, allowing the lucky energy to be dispersed throughout the home or office.
Americans seem to have created a fascination with the lucky elephant-god of India and the white elephants of Thailand, combined in the form of the ubiquitous lucky elephant knick-knack.
I mean…proper knick-knacking is essential to create the appropriate amount of comfort and tranquility for most. By proper knick-knacking….I mean consideration of what is placed in your home….NOT hoarding everything that you’ve ever gotten and continuing to stack item upon item. It’s this type of deliberate knick-knacking that will bring balance and calmness to your surroundings.
Because of its strength and physical power, the elephant came to symbolize protection and stability. Placing a couple of elephants at your main entrance is thought to be good for protection. These elephant bookends would be great on a side table near your home entrance. Add them to a home office for classic symbolism.
Try adding an elephant with upraised trunk in your child’s study area or your home office, as well as generally in the living room to activate the energy of study and curiosity.
Most of all, elephants symbolize an energy of kindness and strength, and we could all use a little more of this beautiful energy!
